Projects

Our projects are predominantly centred around dams and hydropower, however our skill base also allows for high quality geological assessment of any civil and mining project. 

We have provided services for dam owners across Australia and New Zealand, with further dam and civil works in Oman, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, China, and Myanmar.

 Cressbrook Dam is currently in the design phase for a Dam Safety Improvement Project which will include a widening of the existing spillway. Included site supervision of drilling through a live embankment, instrument installation, and construction material resource identification and assessment.

 A new off stream water storage is required to supply the mine with process water. Included geological mapping of the proposed footprint of the proposed storage, in addition to the identification and assessment of potential construction resources. Completed the geological interpretation and GIS development to assist with engineering.

 A review of existing exploratory data was completed prior to a limited intrusive investigation to improve confidence around the likely extension of a construction material resource for the Regional Council. Included conceptual pit arrangement and preliminary volume estimation.

 This dam safety review included the review of existing borehole logs and re-logging of historical core stored on site to update material and defect descriptions. Re-assessment of foundation conditions and kinematic assessment of defect sets. Included the development of a detailed GIS and spatial registration of historical mapping.
